We are looking for Global Technical Manager based in either Copenhagen, Denmark (Head Office), Stockholm, Helsinki, Warsaw, Brussels, Oslo, Milton Keynes or Bedford (both in the United Kingdom). You will be reporting to the Global Operations Development Director.

You will drive development within the technical & engineering area and:

  • Drive overall development of cost level for Repair & Maintenance across all 15 countries we have bakeries.
  • Drive and implement overall strategies on preferred supplier base, preferred supplier management, service contracts within engineering and service.
  • Set-up world class maintenance strategies that can be used across all different bakery set-ups within the group.
  • Develop and drive roll out of maintenance system that will enable us to take the next step into world class maintenance.
  • Enforce and be a strong advocate of TPM related processes.
  • Support cluster production organisation with deep dives in major technical issues.
  • Drive process improvements on technical issues and instigate corrective actions with local/central management.
  • Drive development of key talents together with direct managers within the local technical departments by supporting their individual development plans with insights and agree on key development deliverables.
  • Organise standardization within engineering & maintenance across all bakeries, ensuring that local adaption is done.
  • Be front leader in establishing and deploying best practices within technical & maintenance processes and tools.
  • Responsible within our Global Technology Forum for identifying and growing talents across functions, bakeries and countries. 

 

What we are looking for in a candidate:

  • Proven track record of impacting the business by developing the engineering and maintenance area, building business partnerships with key stakeholders, preferably within a FMCG environment.
  • A great communicator, able to work with different types of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Well-developed technical competencies in planning, implementing and leading change initiatives keeping self and others focused and motivated to achieve the goals of the initiatives.
  • Develops naturally network of relationship with colleagues in all part of the organization as well as internal and external stakeholders.
  • Is both a team player with the ability to work constructively and support decision making, but is also confident in using personal impact to push through decisions and being persistent.
  • Recognizes, uses and respects the organization’s culture and the effect that it has to get things done.
  • Able to lead a remote team of indirect reports and develop people by providing continuous feedback on performance and development opportunities.
  • Master’s degree and at least 7 years’ experience in engineering or maintenance within international setting.
  • Experience of leading projects and project teams.
  • Excellent knowledge of maintenance systems and Microsoft office.
  • Able to work with different cultures and in cross country teams, therefor we need you to be fluent in English.
  • Who loves to travel extensively (at least 3 days per week of travel is required).
  • We offer a relocation package for you, and if applicable your family, if you decide to move to Copenhagen.
